CaraExplorer

The CaraExplorer is in the main CARA window which appears when CARA starts. It consists of two panels.

  • The left panel shows a navigation tree representing all the components of the CARA repository.
  • The right panel shows the content of the component selected in the navigator tree using the left panel.

The navigator tree allows access to :

  • global components like
    • ResidueType definitions, SpectrumType definitions
    • Scripts tools (collection of scripts, script editor)
    • Terminal (script input/output window)
    • Message Log (information, warnings and error messages from CARA)
  • Projects - each project can be expanded to display navigators for project components:
    • PeakList
    • Samples
    • Sequence
    • Spectra
    • SpinLinks
    • Spins
    • Systems

    By clicking on one of the components of CaraExplorer the contents of that component are displayed in the Content Window shown on the right.

    The components in the content window can be selected and modified via a context-dependent menu accessed by right-clicking the mouse.

    The context-dependent menu also appears in the top menu bar of the main CARA window when a specific component is selected. E.g. clicking on the Sequence in a project causes the "Sequence" menu to appear in the main CARA window.
